The course. The course number is MAC 3474, Section 7498. It meets in Matherly Hall 0118, RF 5th period, and in Rogers Hall 0129 MW 5th period. The textbook etc. The textbook is Calculus by Stewart, 6th edition. You will not be required to purchase or use any calculators or graphing software or symbolic manipulation software.

Grading. There will be four graded equally weighted exams, including the final; no dropping of exams. You will be permitted to use your notes and the textbook during the exams. To level the playing field I will prohibit the use of calculators, laptops and similar tools during the exams. Attendance will not be taken. The first exam covers Chapters 12 and 13, the second Chapter 14, the third Chapter 15, and the final covers Chapter 16. The final exam is not cumulative. Preliminary midterm exam dates are February 9, March 1, and March 29. The final exam will take place Friday May 4, 10:00am-12noon. I will administer make-up exams with medical and/or family type excuse.



Students requesting classroom accommodation must first register with the Dean of Students Office. The Dean of Students Office will provide documentation to the student who must then provide this documentation to the Instructor when requesting accommodation.
