Lodging

Blocks of rooms at three hotels in the area have been reserved, for Sept. 15 arrival, Sept. 19 departure (some rooms may be available for longer stays, if you wish). Participants should contact the hotel of their choice and make individual reservations by the August 16 deadline, mentioning our workshop (or just 'mathematics conference') to get the group rate. Rates quoted below do not include 9% tax. Note: As of August 13, rooms ARE STILL AVAILABLE at all three hotels. Reservations may still be possible after August 16, but the hotels are no longer obligated to save the rooms for us.

  • Rush Lake Motel. (352)-373-5000 or (800)-695-8284 or fax (352)-375-7485. $38 per night for one adult, $42 for two. Efficiency units may also be available, for $6 more. About 1 mile from the conference site (a pleasant walk through campus). About 30 years old, so a bit run down, but still pleasant, with a very nice view of Rush Lake from most rooms. No airport van, though we will try to arrange transportation from the airport for you, since taxis are not easy to get in Gainesville. Restaurants nearby. Swimming pool. 25 rooms reserved for ADG2004.

  • Holiday Inn University Center. (352)-376-1661 or www.holiday-inn.com/gnv-university or email at HIGNVUC@BellSouth.net $69 per night. Very convenient, only .3 mile from the conference site. Not quite as pleasant as Rush Lake, in particular no good view. Airport van is available (it's best to reserve ahead of time). Restaurant in the hotel, and others nearby. Swimming Pool. 20 rooms reserved for ADG2004.

  • Hilton Hotel and Conference Center. 352)-371-3600, or toll-free (800)-445-8667 or www.hilton.com. $109 per night-- note this amount has changed. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY reserved a room at the Hilton, you might want to check on the rate, as there was some confusion about our reservation. Very new and fancy, with all amenities. Airport van (reserve ahead of time). Restaurants in the hotel, and others 2 blocks away. About 2 miles from the conference site, a pleasant walk through campus all the way, or use the van. 10 rooms reserved for ADG2004.
