Calculus (Early Transcendentals), 6th edition, by StewartCourse Objectives:
To help the student become familiar with the basics of vector algebra, vector functions, multivariable calculus and vector calculus, as well as develop the corresponding computational skills. We will cover chapters 12–16 of Stewart.Grading:
We will have four in-class midterms and a cumulative final exam. The midterms will be held on September 10, October 5, October 26, and November 16. The final exam will be on Monday, December 13, from 3:00--5:00. Each in-class midterm counts for 100 points, while the final exam counts for 200 points, to give a course total of 600 points. No scores will be dropped. If you have a disagreement with the grading of an exam problem, I ask that you submit a written request for reconsideration within one month. The grading scale will be:
