Is there a registration fee?
No. Thanks to the generous support of the UF Math
department and the Alachua County Visitors Bureau.
But you will need to sign in at the
the welcome table outside Reitz Union 282.
When is the welcome table open?
Margaret will have the welcome table open a half an hour before
the first talk each day, during the breaks, and at the reception.
She will be available most all day on Saturday.
How do I get to my hotel from the Gainesville airport?
The Holiday Inn has a shuttle for its guests. Call (352)
376.1661 when you arrive. The shuttle is free.
Cab fare to the Reitz Union and Rush Lake will be about
$25. If you are staying at the Reitz Union the
number 25 bus
runs from the airport and passes close to the Union.
The bus does not run on the weekend.
Can I walk from my hotel to the conference?
What's for dinner?
The menu for Friday nights banquet, 7-9 pm, in the Arredondo
Room of the Reitz Union is:
- Tossed Garden Salad - with Ranch & Balsamic Vinaigrette
- Fresh Fruit Salad
- Roasted Vegetable
- Rice Pilaf
- Chicken Marsala
- Fruit Stuffed Pork Loin
- Vegetarian Lasagna
- Dessert Station: Chocolate Cake and Assorted cookies & dessert bars
- Drink Station: Iced Tea, Iced Water & Coffee
- Cash bar, 6:30-8:30.
The prices are $6 per beer or glasss of wine.
What is the cost for the banquet?
It is $25, cash or check made payable to UF
Department of Mathematics collected at the welcome desk
at the meeting. (See the faq above about the welcome desk hours.)
When will I receive my reimbursement?
In most cases reimbursement checks can be picked up from Margaret
at the welcome desk - say when you sign in.
What about the reception?
There is no charge for the reception
Thursday afternoon. There will be a selection of
Hors d'hoeuvres and a cash bar. The price is $6 per beer or glass of wine.
Where can I park on campus?
Don't plan on parking on campus unless you are a
guest at the Reitz Union hotel.

There will be laptops
connected to projectors in all the rooms.
You can also connect your own on Thursday
and Friday.
A .pdf file on a flash drive is safe. As a backup,
you can send your talk as a .pdf file to Scott - sam
at math dot ufl dot edu.
In fact, we will request
your talk, in .pdf format,
for posting on the seam homepage after the
conference as part of the meetings dissemination
efforts.

How do I get internet access?
You can get a guest account good for seven days at the
information desk on the first floor of the Reitz Union.
I would like to take the trip to Alachua Sink on the La Chua
trail. What do I need to do?
