SEAM Lodging
|
The following motels offer special rates for
University of Florida visitors. If you include hotel preferences
and dates in your registration, we will make the reservation for you.
We will also arrange to have the room
direct billed (eliminating some taxes) to the mathematics
department for those receiving support from the
conference. If you make your own reservation use the secret word
SEAM to get the conference rate - or even a room in case the hotel is booked
save for the block of rooms reserved for SEAM.
For directions to the hotels and from the hotels to the Math dept and Reitz Union,
see the Travel Page.

Rush
Lake Motel
A reasonable hotel at a good price. Some regular Gainesville visitors
prefer the Rush Lake to the Holiday Inn independent of price. It
is about one mile to both the Mathematics Department and the Reitz Union.
The price is $50 for single occupancy and $54 for double plus
taxes. It is advised to make your reservation by February 15.
Telephone: (888) 787.4525 and (352) 373.5000.

Other Hotels
Hampton Inn and Suites Gainesville Downtown.
A newly built hotel in the downtown block at 101 SE 1st Avenue.
About a mile to the mathematics building.
Don't confuse it with the other Hampton Inn Gainesville, which is inconveniently located. A pool.
Please note, you can be aggresively panhandled walking
between the university and downtown, especially in the
evening. It is not advisable to walk between
the university and downtown alone late at night.
Phone:(352)-240-9300.
Herlong Mansion.
Micanopy, 15 miles south of conference site.
The most charming place in the area, about double the price of the previous motels, but this one is certainly not a chain.
Phone: 352-466-3322 or 800-437-5664
