  • Course notes updated 26 August at 9:20 am. Fixed an embarrassing number of small typos, like having 2 and 4 reversed in example 1.10 and garbled text at the end of the proof of Theorem 2.28. Revised item (v) of Example 2.23. The original version should have included a caveat about the existence of the least upper bound.
