Joint CISE-Mathematics Seminar 
Neural Networks and Image Processing
Fall 1999/ Spring 2000

  • This seminar focuses on applications of neural networks in image processing (IP) and pattern recognition (PR). We will explore relationships between classical neural networks and morphological neural networks, applications of PDEs in image processing and neural networks, and will pose many unsolved research problems. Previous knowledge of neural nets is not required, but concurrent enrollment in the CISE neural network course would be helpful.
