Note:  To those who are new to Gainesville, the Holiday Inn is a 2-minute walk from the conference location, whereas the Rush Lake is about a 10-15 minute walk away. The former is a typical Holiday Inn, renovated in recent times. The latter is considerable more informal and laid back; for example, laptops may not be able to connect to the Rush Lake's wireless access to the internet, depending on the location of the room.
