Topology and its Applications
Submissions to James Keesling

Papers with primary subject in the following areas

may be submitted to James Keesling for publication in Topology and its Applications. I welcome all good papers in the above areas and endeavor to handle each paper promptly and with care.

Manuscript Preparation: Manuscripts should be in English. Each manuscript should include:

Although most authors typeset their papers in TeX (e.g., LaTeX, AMS-LaTeX, AMS-TeX, plain TeX), no specific typesetting system is required. It is not necessary, not even advised at the moment, to follow the instructions given by Elsevier for using the style file 'elsart'. For example, the page size of the produced paper does not correspond to the page size of Topology and its Applications.

Electronic Submission: The manuscript file in postscript can be e-mailed (preferably as an attachment) to jek@math.ufl.edu. The postscript file should be accompanied by a cover letter in form of an e-mail message. The e-mail message should include the title, the names authors, and the name of the electronic file. The e-mail address used for sending this message will be used for correspondence unless instructed otherwise by the author.

If necessary, I can handle other forms of electronic submissions such as PDF, DVI, or source files for any standard flavor TeX. Please do not mail diskettes or e-mail electronic files other than TeX.

In case of persisting technical difficulties with submitting a paper electronically, regular postal mailing might be the only option.

Postal Submission: Mail two copies of the paper accompanied by a cover letter. An e-mail address to be used for correspondence should be included with postal submissions.

Correspondence: The primary means of correspondence is e-mail. Therefore, it is essential that a working e-mail address is always provided to the editor. On request, acceptance letters will be sent by postal mail in addition to the e-mail notification.

Refereeing: Note that a submission to the editor is merely a request for consideration. All submitted papers are refereed. Topology and its Applications applies strict standards and only high quality papers are accepted. The author should retain a copy of the submitted paper for his or her records. Although occasionally the referee may recommend corrections on the paper, the paper is not routinely returned to the author.
