Karly Jacobsen

I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of Florida.  While I love numbers and proofs, biology has always fascinated me as well.  I earned a B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from UF with a specialization in biomaterials.  For graduate school I turned my focus to mathematics but have not lost my interest in biological applications.  I am currently doing research in biomathematics.  I also have a passion for teaching where I hope to convey the utility and beauty of mathematics to younger Gators.
