 
Lodging near the University of Florida
Visitors with special year support are strongly encouraged

Short term
The following motels offer special rates for
University of Florida visitors.

Reitz Union Hotel.
Located in the student union on campus. Renovated Summer 2005.
Twenty of the rooms are $70
and come with two double beds. The remaining rooms range
from $70 to $100 per night. A block of rooms has been reserved
for the Combinatorial Set Theory conference.

The University Hotel
(formerly the Holiday Inn University Center).
The University Hotel
provides shuttle service to and from the Gainesville airport free
of charge to their guests. Rates have gone up to around
$90 (without tax) as of January, 2007.
Change: This hotel is temporarily know as the
University Inn while it is undergoing restaurant renovation;
it expects to be a Holiday Inn again by mid-March.
The University Inn is conveniently located near the Department of Mathematics.

Gainesville and the surrounding Alachua County has
numerous hotels/motels as well as several Bed and Breakfasts Inns. Below
are a couple of examples.

Rush
Lake Motel
A reasonable hotel at a good price, $42 + tax per night.
Some regular Gainesville visitors
prefer the Rush Lake to the Holiday Inn independent of price. It is
about one mile to both the Mathematics Department and the Reitz Union.

The Hilton Hotel is the area's premier full service hotel. It is located
approximately 4 miles from the Department of Mathematics.

Sweetwater Branch Inn.
The Sweetwater Branch Inn is located just east of downtown on University Avenue. It
is about a mile and a half from the corner of University Avenue and 13th Street and
the Mathematics Department.
Extended stay
The Rush
Lake Motel (see above for information) also offers extend stay
lodging.
Lakeshore
Towers. Lakeshore Towers is located about a mile and a half
south of the corner of University and 13th Street and the Department
of Mathematics. They offer short term rentals of efficiencies,
one bedroom and two bedroom apartments.
