Title: Adaptive Multiwavelet solutions for a class of Advection-Diffusion equations Vani Cheruvu colorado Univ. Email: Vani.Cheruvu@colorado.edu Abstract: Semigroup approach is used to convert the advection-diffusion equations to nonlinear integral equations. The exponentials, obtained from the discretization of these equations by exact linear part schemes, are evaluated using scaling and squaring method. Adaptive solvers are developed for nonlinear partial differential equations by representing the derivative and exponential operators in multiwavelets. Separated rank representation is used to solve the problems in two and three dimensions. In this talk, I present a fast adaptive algorithm for nonlinear partial differential equations of advection-diffusion type.
