Title: Optimization in Action: Helping Treat Cancers

Abstract:
Recently, optimization techniques have been increasingly used to
achieve better results in cancer treatment by radiotherapy.  We will
first give a brief introduction to this interesting application area,
and then propose a new formulation that we consider to be promising.
Theoretical and preliminary computational results will be presented.
