Title: Fast Evolution of Manifolds: New Applications Ravi Malladi Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Computing Sciences Email:R_Malladi@lbl.gov http://math.lbl.gov/~malladi Abstract: I will describe PDE-based geometric models for image processing, segmentation, and analysis. I will present a general image denoising model based on so-called 'Beltrami flow' and a fast way of solving the governing equation. Next, I will describe an implicit surface model for segmentation that runs at interactive speeds. The talk is geared towards newer applications in biomedical imaging and electron microscopy.
