 The dynamics of circle homeomorphisms
　

Abstract:
We will investigate some of the basic properties of
orientation-preserving degree one circle homeomorphisms. We will define
the rotation number and discuss how the rotation number classifies the
dynamics of such a map. We will also show the significance of the
rotation number in applied mathematics.
