Title:  Solving PDE Using Finite Element Methods

Abstract:

There are two popular techniques for solving PDE numerically:
finite difference method & finite element method.
I will focus on the second one by introducing the classical
Galerkin method, which produces a huge sparse matrix.
The matrix can be solved using multigrid approach, which is a
very hot research topic for recent years. I will briefly
talk about the multigrid routine and demonstrate some example.
