Estimating the Mean and Variance of a Normal Distribution
From Truncated or Censored Samplesn
　

Abstract:
Three computation methods, EM Algorithm, MLE and Truncated Moments,
for censored/truncated data are compared and analyzed by simulation. We also
use simulation to show the close relation of estimates and the
truncated/censored points and sample sizes.
(This is joint work with professor Mary Christman from IFAS and statistic
department.)
