Title: The fast algorithms of the discrete Fourier
transforms (DFT) on regular hexagonal structures
Abstract: Regular hexagonal structures (RHS) are
certain discretized versions of a regular hexagon.
Such a structure is a tile of a hexagonal lattice.
Those structures have very promising applications in
areas such as Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity space
mission, equal area analysis of digital earth imaging,
medical image aquisition, and fingerprint processing.
This talk introduces some fast algorithms we
discovered recently for computing the DFT on RHS.
Those fast algorithms make the application of the DFT
on RHS convenient. The orthogonal exponential family
on RHS and the fractal dimension of Pyxis structures
will also be introduced briefly.
