This time the computational intelligence world is coming to ... Anchorage, Alaska May 4-9, 1998 Anchorage, while one of Alaska's youngest cities has rapidly developed into the hub of Alaska's commerce and industry. As Alaska's largest city, over 70 percent of the state's populations live within 300 miles. The most unusual tourist attraction in Anchorage is the 135-acre Earthquake Park, an untampered testimonial to the devastating 1964 shake. Anchorage is bordered by the 5,000 to 8,000 Chugach Mountains on the east and the Cook Inlet on the west and north. Farther west are the towering peaks and active volcanos of the Alaska range. On the horizon, some 200 miles to the north, is the magnificent Mt. McKinley - North America's highest peak. WCCI'98 attendees are guaranteed to be amazed not only by the technical program but also by the great natural attractions of Anchorage. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ***** CALL FOR PAPERS ***** Deadline: September 26, 1997 Instructions: All papers MUST be received no later than September 26, 1997. Each paper must be associated with one of the three conferences (IJCNN, FUZZ-IEEE, ICEC) and a topic number from the conference's respective topic list. Papers will be reviewed by senior researchers in the field, and all authors will be notified of their decisions by mail. All accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings. Six copies (one original and five copies) of the paper must be submitted. All paper submissions must be hardcopy. Electronic submission of manuscripts is not acceptable. Papers must conform to the IEEE publication guidelines, available on the WCCI'98 web site at http://www.arc.unm.edu/wcci-98 or from Meeting Management at (714) 752-8205. Note that these guidelines specify a two-column format. All submissions will be be posted on the WCCI'98 web site, as well as acknowledged by e-mail (or by postal mail if e-mail is unavailable).
