Tips of the Week

The collected wisdom of the Tip of the Week appears below. The Tip has never really appeared weekly, mostly because the people who know the system well are busy and people who are learning about the system seldom contribute Tips. We hope that organizing these notes in a Web-friendly manner will encourage users to consult them and to propose new Tips.

If you have a suggestion for a topic or a draft Tip, please send it along to consult@math.ufl.edu or to cws@math.ufl.edu.

For the most part these notes appear below just as they did originally, so some details may drift out of date. Consult a tip's filename in the URL box of your Web reader for an approximate date of issue.
