Many majors recommend specific lower division (1000-2999 level) or middle division (3000-3999) math courses; consult an advisor in your major department or check the Undergraduate Catalog, or visit the Academic Advising Center. Also, your major may require one or more 3000+ electives outside your major. Here is a list of offerings in the Department of Mathematics at the 3000-3999 level (not including honors calculus).

  • MAE 3811 Math for Elementary Teachers 2 (the prerequisite is a test)
  • MAP 3170 Introduction to Actuarial Mathematics
  • MAS 3114 Computational Linear Algebra
  • MAS 3300 Numbers and Polynomials
  • MHF 3202 Sets and Logic
